Oh, yeah, well, I guess it would make sense to actually wait for the story to be finished before the book was put together, huh? Anyway, I noticed a typo. "but saw Stella standing in the doorway with and odd look on her face, " I highlighted it, but then accidentally clicked somewhere else, and all I could remember about it was the fact that it was the word "and". Do you know how many times you used the word "and" in this installment? I lost track at 52, because I was using a deck of cards to help me keep count. I considered going forward on my fingers and toes, but I couldn't remember how many I had... Was this installment really over 11000 words? What's the total word count on this bad boy so far? I considered copying and pasting every installment into Word and using the word count feature, but I'm lazy. ~Dingo The one who only seems to show up when a new installment comes out, even though he doesn't get the emails. P.S. I'd tell you how great the installment was, but I would risk sounding just like everyone else. So I'll say Stort kapittel, menn! Og ja, I som fjords også instead. |

Posted At 12:18:34 09/25/2002 Dingo! Hi! Thanks for the heads up on the "and/an" thing. I fixed it. My sister used to proof it for us before too many people out there could see it, but now she actually has a life and a carreer, so she doesn't get to it as quickly. But we can always count on our fans to keep us honest. Yes, it was really over 11,000 words. I could give you an acurate word count for the whole story, but let's just say it's well over 100,000 at this point. Geoff - the one who types, not the one who proofs P.S. Posted At 11:54:31 10/03/2002 ..all I know is that out of the 100K words used so far, I've only seen the word "fucker" one time. I don't have any issues with any words in the english language, but am curious- have there been other "derogatory" words in this story so far? Poor Lee must feel like a schmuck for not getting anybody anything, when he had that money in the bank. Is Lee incapable of feeling? Or is he just cheap? ...I'm gonna go back and hand count the words from I-1. Can't be too accurate, you know. Is it possible to have a hanging Chad's while counting words? |
