Despite nearly all the forces that be throwing nearly all the obstructions that be in my way (a list far too long to mention but starting with WW17) I did actually make my NaNoWriMo word count.

Managed to do it a week early, too, I might add. Well... I did add. Sorry.

Anyway.

(Thanks, again, Geoff. You were one of a very select group of people to say kind things to me this month. When I get my $2,060,000.00 book deal I'll be sure to put your name in the list of Very Nice Encouraging Type People Who Probably Didn't Mean A Word Of It But Just Happen To Be Nice Encouraging Type People.)

I meant to add a note for Steve as well:

"Potable" didn't get thrown in, somehow. It did get me thinking about the frequent Jeopardy category "Potent Potables" and ....

somehow that led to a side note about a space monkey/sea monkey crime syndicate.

Yeah, I'm not sure how either.

Congratulations, Stardwarf!

I had a sea monkey colony kept in a mayonnaise jar when I was in high school. One day, I sneezed over the top of the damn thing, and, the next day, all the damn monkeys were dead. Damn, fragile sea monkeys. I now have an instant crystal garden in that mayonnaise jar. They are much hardier. And sharper. Don't pet them.

I had a sea urchin. They're hard to snuggle with. I could write a whole book about it. But it would take me more than a month, so Stardwarf wins. See how I did that? Slick, huh?

Sea Monkeys aren't really Sea Monkeys. They're Brine Shrimp, and for some reason they can be dried and then come back to life in water and they come from the Great Salt Lake about 5 miles away from me and there's only a month or two when they can harvest brine shrimp and they sell a few as Sea Monkeys but most of them get processed and crushed up and turned into fish food and no you can't make a Brine Shrimp salad, well, you could, but I doubt it would taste very good.

No, r.brown. They're Sea Monkeys. Says so on the label.

Okay then, what do you feed them if they're really Sea 'Monkeys'? Sea bananas? If they're monkeys, then that's what they should be eating, right? Bananas? I bet you never fed them a single banana.

btw, banana is fun to type.

I don't remember what they did eat, but I do know you shouldn't feed them sneeze.

Banana, banana, Dantana, Santana, skank-whore, skank-whore, Dalrymple, banana... Yes, you're right.
