A new year has dawned, the tree's put away, the lights are still up, for just one more day. The nog is expired, the turkey just sits in slimy old gravy, with dried up old bits. The game is over, they played it last night. 2 minutes to go, then a wonderous site. The Trojans, on downs, lost the ball. Such a fright! to the USC faithful, talking trash left and right. The 'Horns then rallied and came from behind. Nineteen seconds to go, and they slammed 'cross the line! A two point conversion, more nails in the box! The Trojans were stunned right down to their socks. Now Austin's hung over, we're worn out with glee, LA's distraught, they're in therapy. When thinking of football, it's Texas, you see. If you're looking for Trojans, they're on aisle number three. Just a quick one to fire y'all up in SoCal. This board is a livley as GOP rave. Where the hell is everyone? Someone write something before I get apoplectic. GTOO |

Posted At 16:19:08 01/05/2006 Hi, GTO, I’m glad that it didn’t have to be Geoff or me posting the first post of 2006. Thank you. Now, we’ll be numbers two, three, four, six and eight. Watched the game Too did I I didn’t cheer, did not cry You see, the Horns had a great year The Trojans... a good r.un 93,000 fans, all drinking beer It sure looked like fun But I in my little place watched from three feet away I saw Vince Young race in an unstoppable way I tried to feel sad I wanted to feel joy I couldn’t get mad Where’s my new toy? The thing is this and this I say When I watch a bout, match or game It doesn’t matter who play (s) I want someone to win and someone to blame (sorry) But, sad as it sounds I had none of that last night Because the neighborhood hounds were barking with fright. (Not really) If only I’d made a bet and had something to lose Then I could be upset Or win and buy shoes. (Gucci loafers. Black. Soft like butter.) But here are the facts (and final stanza. Thank God, I hear you cry) Shouted down from the knoll What my season lacks Is Michigan State in a bowl! |
